NO COMPROMISES
The Scania P-series CrewCab is full of features specifically tailored for emergency assignments, keeping both ergonomics and safety in mind, and without any compromises on quality. Among the additions are the Scania City Safe Window and a separate climate system for the crew area. Scania Crewcab is available in two length dimensions. Choose between Crewcab (3265mm) and Crewcab long (3645mm).
Scania’s CrewCab offers unparalleled flexibility, comfort and safety. The cab can carry up to eight passengers, and the flexible interior layout and excellent lighting features, help the crew to get ready for any emergency mission.
In cramped conditions, it may be difficult to see obstacles and vulnerable road users like pedestrians and cyclists around the vehicle, in particular close to the corner of the vehicle on the passenger side. The driver sits high and has a good view of the traffic ahead.
The optional city safe window low down on the passenger door improves the chance of detecting children, pedestrians and cyclists near the truck. Furthermore, features such as driver seat positioning, lowered side window and larger glass surface, offer even greater visibility. The dashboard has also been lowered slightly to enhance forward visibility.
Focus on the CrewCab is to make the entry and exit as quick and safe as possible. Entrance to the cab is low, with convenient handles that make it easy to climb in and out. The rear staircase like boarding comes with either fixed or retractable lower step, making for quick and safe entry and exit.
The Scania CrewCab offers a wide variety of seating and storage possibilities for the entire crew. Options now include three or four individual seats or a bench seat. Seats without backrests are also available, to provide space for equipment such as breathing apparatus.
During the development of the Scania CrewCab, the wellbeing of the crew members has been top-of-mind. A separate climate system with its own heating is now available for the crew area. It sits behind the driver and features air vents that direct warm air towards the floor and to the side windows.
Having room for vital equipment is crucial in any emergency assignment. The CrewCab offers a wide variety of storage possibilities where the crew can store necessary gear. Smart storage space can be accessed from both inside and outside the cab. Available for CrewCab long.
A smart and adaptable CrewCab that is extremely flexible and easy to customise.

The Scania CrewCab can be ordered with 7-litre, 9-litre or 13-litre engine, and it is possible to combine it with a range of gearboxes,
including Scania Opticruise or automatic transmissions.
Front, roof, side, underbody – all areas have been analysed, designed and optimised to achieve the lowest possible air drag. The shape of the cab and its corners, all gaps and angles have been narrowed and streamlined to achieve more efficient air flow and dynamic flow of lines.
Scania’s CrewCabs can be equipped with roll-over curtain side airbags, a security system integrated into the ceiling. The roll-over airbag targets one of the most serious consequences of rollover accidents, where drivers or passengers are injured in a collision or fatally crushed by their own vehicle.
Scania delivers a wide range of engines which are compatible with alternative fuels, so you can find your perfect operational power to get the job done. This includes the new Scania Super 13-litre engine which contributes to groundbreaking powertrain fuel savings of 8%.

Our comprehensive gearbox range can be adapted to all types of transport operations to deliver the full range of power across your Scania powertrain. Offering improved driveability, Scania’s gearboxes can be fitted with the high-performance Scania Retarder.
The Scania Opticruise G25 and G33 set the highest industry standard for gearbox performance. Together with improved overall robustness, the Scania Opticruise remains the leading choice for sustainable, fuel-efficient transport operations.
This gearbox is built to tackle the most challenging terrain, making it the perfect choice for demanding long-haulage. Its closely stepped ratios combine light weight with ease of driving with exceptional operating economy.
For applications that demand extra low-speed pulling power, this gearbox has two extra crawler ratios. Designed for optimised economy, it has proved highly successful for both long-distance and regional distribution, as well as heavy construction applications. The overdrive versions offer higher torque capacity, plus overdrive for low and economic cruising revs. Scania Opticruise and Scania Retarder, as well as a selection of power take-offs, are available for all range-splitter gearboxes.
Scania’s Opticruise gearbox platform, available in two performance steps G25 and G33, delivers improved and speedy gearshifting in combination with excellent comfort and fuel savings of one percent.
The Opticruise’s fully automated clutch control, which allows for precision manoeuvring and smoother gear performance, is complemented by a wider, more efficient 14-gear spread, and new technologies such as variable oil volume and oil spray function to improve gear lubrication and reduce internal losses.
The platform also introduces a new compact, geometric design, as well as low weight cast aluminium housing, resulting in significantly lower sound levels and a reduced component weight of up to 75 kilograms. Additionally, the Opticruise delivers increased uptime and fewer maintenance stops through an extended oil change interval. All this to ensure that your total operating economy is optimised.
Better driveability is achieved with a wider gear ratio spread, which includes super crawler and overdrive, that match Scania’s low rev engine philosophy.
Instead of a reversing gear, a planetary gear is used for reversing. This solution enables having eight gears for going in reverse at speeds up to 30 km/h. (This is useful when, for instance, tipper trucks need to reverse for long distances.)
The retarder on the G33 has also been updated and improved and can now deliver 4700 Nm torque at a propeller shaft speed below 600 rpm.
PTO – With the Scania Opticruise gearbox, a new PTO programme with nine different performance steps is introduced. Higher torque and gear ratio improves the overall performance of bodywork equipment. Lower noise levels and reduced fuel consumption is the result of higher gear ratio, which allows lower engine speeds.
